Sweets??
Nope, SEEDS yayyy!
I really really love buying my seeds from Premier Seeds on EBay. I'm in no way connected to them in any finacial way I'm just sharing the love for something that is 'much cheapness', no nonsense and very easy.
After buying from them last year and having a 100% germination rate I decided to go for it again.
Most are 99p a pack and only about 50p P&P no matter how many you buy.
They arrive only a couple of days later in teeny little see through bags, they look like sweeties...good enough to eat even 😉 well let's hope I actually get to eat the finished product this year...and not like last '2012-the year of the SLUG!'
Thanks for reading folks.

Soil therapy!
Well I've had a right old day of it today!
So when we arrived home I pushed open the front door, ignored the kids, the dog, the cat, threw my bag down and grabbed the seed tin and went straight out the back door and over to the greenhouse.
I was out for an hour messing with compost, plant pots and watering cans. Writing seed labels (this time with a different pen!) and planted lots and lots and lots of seeds.
Sorry about this but I'm going to do a very boring list of them so that if by some miracle I'm still keen on this allotment lark next year I can look back at this blog and use it as a record of what I grew etc.
I hope I remember to add to this as I go along as we have YET MORE seeds to plant and some to go straight into the ground, PLUS the 7 varieties of potato I have ready to go in ASAP.

Broad bean - Aguadulce
Courgette - B. Forest

Sweet Pea - Royal family mixed and 2 other varieties that the packets are still in the greenhouse used as labels so I can't type their names here right now.
I also have a load of Dahlias and Hollyhocks to start off in some compost too, before this gorgeous weather breaks all ready for when it snows next week! Ha ha, I'm JOKING, well, I hope I am!
Did I mention we had our first cooked meal at the plot last night? Bacon baps and hot dogs was on the menu. I don't think we'll get more adventurous than that but it was lovely. Our very own patch of countryside was so relaxing in the evening. No noisy posh gardeners with their leaf blowers, sit on mowers or petrol powered hedge cutters to hurt our ears, just birds singing and the evening sunshine keeping us warm for our evening picnic tea.

Thank you Mr Postie!
I had a lovely time the other day, picking and choosing what I'd like to grow this year, popping things in my basket, then taking them out and changing my mind and all whilst sat in my cosy little armchair.
You may have heard of the website
EBAY!!!
Who'd have thought it eh?
Anyhow, the company came highly recommended, they're cheap and you don't end up with 1000's of seeds that I'll never try grow again. Plus, no matter how many you buy you only pay 59p P&P.
Well they arrived today, look!
You may notice there are no pretty envelopes. Well if you want a pretty picture to go with your seeds then there are plenty of other companies you can buy your seeds from, but beware...£££.
For example: Gigantic Pumpkins (for the boys, of course!) from a well known company charge you almost FOUR times as much for the same amount of seeds!
That's the only difference. I can enjoy trying to grow things that I'd not normally be able to due to the costs. Now all I need to worry about is space and where I can put them!
They tumbled out of the parcel like sweeties.
Yup, I bought a few daft things.
Think I'll need a bigger seed tin now.
Right, well seeing as we've now got a just a few things to grow I thought we'd best make plans on where to start them when it's a bit warmer.
Thing#1 and Thing#2 were given the task of building the plastic mini greenhouse.
Thanks for reading.

Edit: I forgot to add that I sold a few bits and bobs at the end of last year on Ebay and the money was still sat in my Paypal account, I used it to buy all these goodies with. Even more of a bargain eh? x
